Hope is in Season

This summer, you’re invited to be part of something life-changing. Over six weeks, we’ll highlight how your generosity fuels every step of our discipleship journey, from food and education to home visits and life-transforming programs. Each week brings new stories, real impact, and a chance to be part of it.

As a thank you, anyone who starts giving $50/month or more or makes an extra one-time gift of $500 or more during this campaign will be invited to our Grill Out Celebration on August 24th, our way of celebrating those who went the extra mile to sow into something eternal.

If you're already giving, this is the perfect time to give a little extra and help us meet the increased needs that summer always brings.

Together, we’re aiming for a bold and beautiful goal: $100,000 raised this summer to sow hope where it’s needed most.

Let’s sow some sunshine, together.

Week One: Food

At Key of Hope, food is more than just nourishment, it’s a lifeline and a doorway to deeper relationship. Many of the children and families we serve live in extreme poverty, often facing hunger daily. Providing food parcels is one of the most tangible ways we can demonstrate God’s love and begin the journey of discipleship.

Every time we distribute food, we’re meeting both physical and spiritual needs as we break bread with those families we fulfill those needs.

We give out 136 food parcels on the 15th of every month, each one filled with essential foods to help sustain a family. Alongside the food, we offer prayer, encouragement, and connection as we build trust that opens hearts to the message of Christ. We also make sure that every child is fed when they come to our weekly Kidz Klub on Saturday.

These food parcels aren’t just about meals, they’re about ministry. They give us the opportunity to walk alongside families, model the love of Jesus, and invite them into a life of hope, healing, and transformation.

Through this simple yet powerful act, discipleship begins.

Week Two: Education

At Key of Hope, we believe education is one of the most powerful tools we can use to break the cycle of poverty and open doors to a brighter future. Education is more than academic success, it’s also a path to discipleship and lifelong transformation.

So many of the children we serve face overwhelming obstacles to learning: lack of school supplies, support at home, or even the basic stability needed to stay in school. That’s why we walk alongside them, helping with homework, providing mentorship, supplying uniforms as well as materials and encouraging them to dream bigger than their circumstances.

Beyond tutoring and test scores, we are investing in hearts. As we teach and guide, we also disciple, sharing Christ’s love, building character, and showing them what it means to follow Jesus in every part of their lives.

Education is the foundation, but discipleship is the goal. We’re not just raising students—we’re raising strong, hope-filled young leaders who are equipped to impact their communities for Christ.

Week Three: Staff

At the core of Key of Hope’s mission is a dedicated team of staff serving in South Africa, Kenya, and the United States we are united by a shared calling to disciple, uplift, and walk alongside the next generation.

Our staff do so much more than carry out programs, they build relationships, mentor children, and model the love of Christ through everyday faithfulness. Whether visiting homes in Durban, supporting new outreach in Nairobi, or mobilizing support and prayer in the U.S., each team member plays a vital role in advancing the Gospel and living out the mission of hope.

Discipleship is the thread that runs through all we do. Our staff invest deeply in the lives of the children and families we serve whether that be teaching, encouraging, challenging and pointing them to Jesus in word and action. Their commitment ensures that every song sung, every meal shared, and every story told becomes a step on the journey of faith.

Our global team is proof that when people say “yes” to God’s call, hope can grow across borders and discipleship can take root in the most unexpected places.
